Bones 

wildflowers
emerald blankets covering
beds of bones

beds of bones
sounds of wailing children
haunting the night

*

haunting the night
smell of death and venom
barbarians’ breath

  1. Interesting… Halloweeny and short. I know that Halloween with a y at the end of it is NOT a word, but I created it. BTW, could you kindly follow me. I shared this on my Google Plus account- Nicole Scribner. 🙂 I like the art very much, as much as the poem. I too agree that it could be a song of sorts.
