autumn gusts
shudder ripples
on the river

rafales d’automne
frémissent des risées
sur le fleuve

seasonal rains
turn muddy paths into
frozen puddles

heading home last night
my cane slips on a patch,
leaves had turned to mulch

Oh, very nice — I love the “shudder ripples” for reasons that belong underground (!!!) — gives it an extra layer of meaning. 🙂 And how treacherous — those newly icy paths — yikes! A lovely photo to go with it —

I can’t take that path anymore esp at the end of shift…too dangerous and dark…maybe when all the bushes have lost their leaves it will be okay.

Not yet here.. But soon those icy patches will come here too. The ripples from the wind says a lot to me.

Glad you enjoyed this Björn. There are areas we’ve had snow but not sticking around yet. It’s only 3C…soon enough.
