Love in ten lines (free verse – haiku)

This effort to be gently guided by the rules below. Jazzy at Thoughts & Entanglements thought it might be fun. Of course, there are nominees. And yes, I asking you to jump on board with this fun challenge. Of course if you do decide to participate it has to be fun, not a chore…

Write about love using only 10 lines.
Use “love” in every line.
Each line can only be 4 words long.
Nominate 10 or so others who are up for the challenge.
Let them know about the challenge.
Title the post, Love in Ten Lines
Include a quote about love (i choose to affix my own)

love can be painful
life sans love wounds
lovers love sundry ways
lustful love is hot
passionate love can grow
fire in love sizzles
love endures many hardships
challenges make love grow
long-term love is sweet
child`s love a treat

(haiku) (Quote)

compassionate love
sustains humans worldwide
feeds on kindness

  1. I don’t normally do challenges but I was intrigues enough to write this:
    Love is a dream
    that leads to love
    Love is a passion
    who’s death defeats love
    Love is an ideal
    we aspire to love
    Love is a robin
    who sings joyous love
    Love is a meeting
    to share carnal love

  2. As I’m working off my IPad and I have difficulty doing links etc, can I write here?

    Love holds us together
    Love can pull apart
    Love gives us vision
    Love loses our sight
    Love can be painful
    Love makes us soar
    Hold on to love
    Even if love hurts
    For without this love
    Love wouldn’t survive

  3. I made a list like this for another challenge but at the time had just finished several challenges and wasn’t feeling right about nominating people again or finding more. Wish I still had my list, but I don’t think I do.

I will enjoy doing this. Maybe this weekend I will have time to work on it, but I will start re-creating my list right away.

  4. I enjoyed your entry…thanks for participating:) And it is more fun when you don’t have to come up with 10 nominees. Someone I nominated only did 5:) We should start one with only 2 nominees.
