no vacancy (tanka)

no vacant room
the couple must take cover
a stable nearby,
babe’s swaddled in a manger
three wise men come bearing gifts

    1. So simple, eh? I’ve been reading different interpretations of the translation of this; I had originally written All full at the Inn, then one translation says it was a house and one guest room and another translation says it was just no room so it could be a house where people could crash. I kinda like the house and the stable was out back.
