What a sight to see those dark clouds in the late afternoon! She thought for sure there would be a thunderstorm. She waited with anticipation since the sun was still out, there would surely be a rainbow. And so, she waited…
soleil étincelant
malgré nuages menaçants
la lumière emporte
burst of golden sun
despite foreboding clouds
light shall prevail
burst of golden sun
quenching spring growths
budding promise
despite foreboding clouds
none to fear, but
cleansing rain
light shall prevail
shimmering diamond flecks,
morning dew

Such a hopeful poem on a dreary day. 🙂 Hope all is well with you, my dear. It’s been a while!

It has been a while, Linda, been rather drained this past winter and spring is sooooo slow in coming. I`m not writing as much on Traces but try to at least post one haiku of some sort here. I must let you know when I am in your area on my way to TO…thinking of taking a scenic route, the old hyw 2 my dad took before the 401 (boy does that ever date me!!)

My parents took it to go to Ottawa before I was born too! 😀 I live a 5 minute walk from highway 2 as it passes through town!

beautiful collection of little images and poems! 🙂 I am hoping the sun will take your poem to heart and break through the thick cloud cover today!

It did for a while and today it rained but the sun is out so we may have a beautiful sunset.

It’s minus 5C today and snow is expected on Wed but that’s okay, I always worry about flooding. My mom’s house is about 10 feet by the river…the ice has melted there though but still too much rain can get scary and we have had our share of floods around here.

I think everywhere has had some flooding this year. The weather has been unreal.

One gets the assurance brought about by the sudden appearance of the sun. Confirms it will undertake to act despite obstacles

Thanks, Hank, it does give such power to even a glimpse of the sun…the darkness can try to intimidate but power is in strength and purity…doesn’t have to be a big bully (smiles).

I used google translate, so tes sounds too informal? tes paroles sont comme le ciel d’étoiles diffusée–infini en nombre et en beauté
And, if this translates humorously, (or otherwise), please laugh, and/or blush, and delete. 😀
