searching (troiku)

(c) Clr’16

amid the lilacs
blindly searching
her fragrance

amid the lilacs
memories stir
her gentle smile

blindly searching
under the full moon
lilt of her voice

her fragrance
from heaven

This Troiku [ a new form of haiku created by Chèvrefeuille at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai] was written for Haiku Horizons.

    • Thanks so much for a wonderful compliment, Janice. After writing that last haiku, I could feel my grandmother in her backyard near the lilac tree. The full moon shining over the river.

    • Thanks. Sorry it took long to respond… your comment went to my spam folder. I think that happens sometimes when a long link is included.. I’m off to check yours now.
