Strawberry (haiga) Carpe Dieme Haiku Kai #501

At Carpe Dieme Haiku Kai, Challenge #501 Strawberry,  Kristjaan has written an extensive post on haiku on strawberry and more importantly on the reference to Strawberry Fields Forever and the Beatles.  Illustrations, music video and ending with a lovely song that we all remember John Lennon singing “Imagine”.  With this theme in mind, here is my humble contribution.

breakfast is the worm

Summer Solstice (Carpe Diem Haiku #487)

MidsummerNightBonfire2.jpg

Kids giddy with joy
staying up late to play
Summer Solstice.

All night bonfires
singing, dancing, having fun
Summer Solstice.

Tilling the soil,
cultivating the earth
life renewed.

Mother Earth
bestows sustenance
life renewed.

Rejoice in life
fires blaze and celebrate
promising season.

Sleepless children
longer days, shorter nights
full-house in the summertime
parents miss intimacy
steeling quickies now and then.

Lazy sunny day

sunbathing by the river

kids wading in the river

splashing, gurgling.

echoes of laughter.

scorching summer night

sitting on the balcony

Carpe Diem Haiku Kai #485 Oneness

Oneness makes me think on so many varied situations that do create a sense of harmony, unity, to be ONE.  Here are my humble thoughts.

la pomme tombe

embrasse le gazon

le ver grignote

l’hirondelle attend

guette le ver au sol

repas de vainqueur.

mélodie soupire

amoureux fleurent la flamme

danse langoureusement

nouveau-né pleure

nourrit au sein de sa mère

harmonie.

fallen apple

kissed the grass

worm nibbles.

robin waits

sees the worm below

victor`s feast.

new-born whimpers

nurses at his mother`s breast

oneness

sultry music croons

steamy lovers feel the heat

slow dancing.

le baiser – Kissing (Haiku -Carpe Diem 484 )

(haiku)

Elle regard coquinement
cils invitant leur baiser,
leurs lèvres touchent à peine.

Looks up demurely
lashes inviting their first kiss,
lips barely touching

I would have liked to add 2 lines as a Tanka to the English version:

(tanka)

Looks up demurely
lashes inviting their first kiss,

lips barely touching
she leans into him – wanting
surrenders to a slow kiss.
