Our mentor and host at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, Chèvrefeuille not only teaches us about writing waka ( Japanese poetry forms) but also enriches our knowledge on the great haiku masters of yesteryear.
Every day we are given either history of a former haiku master, something to think about related to spirituality, tarot cards, astronomy, showcasing another haiku poet or poetess around the world or one of our own haijin members. We are part of a family here and welcome new members all the time.
Chèvrefeuille has posted e-books on techniques in writing haiku or tanka and in his tireless dedication to his family, he has posted several e-books wherein he has compiled different themes we have written to. Here are a few e-books and I encourage you to stop by Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. Writing haiku is not just writing poetry, it is a way of life.
