Z is for Zinnia (haiku)

Zinnia is a genus of plants of the sunflower tribe within the daisy family.  That makes me smile since daisies are my favourite flowers and sunflower is my nom-de-plume. This plant is native to dry grassland in areas from Southwestern United States to South America.

What a great way to end this blogging challenge with such a beautiful flower that is the second cousin to Tournesol.

Walking out the door this morning a strong scent of lilacs hit her. She looks all around on her walk to the bus looking for a lilac tree …

Yellow flowers (Troiku/Haiga)

I love sunflowers, my nom de plume in French, Tournesol.  Here is a Troiku created by Chèvrefeuille which is a series of haiku. To learn more about this form click here.
