holiday dreams (troiku) RonavanWrites Haiku – slow-burn

Hot mug of cocoa
Sitting before a crackling fire
Eyelids slowly close
Hot mug of cocoa
Memories of long ago
Scents of childhood
Sitting before a crackling fire
Birch logs burning ever slowly
Embers glow
Eyelids slowly close
Dreaming of ol’ saint Nic
Sleigh bells tin-a-ling

life is messy (haiga)

At Carpe Diem Sparkling Stars, our inspirational haiku by Shiki:

when I looked back,
the man who passed
was lost in the mist © Masaoka Shiki

wakeful moments
just mistaken reveries
rolling into days

day after day
lost in a sea of fog
life is messy

old woman
chips away at what was home
lost in whiteout

Café de nuit (shadorma)

Terrasse du Café le soir  par Van Gogh- Wikipédia

terrasse du café
sous la nuit
des étoiles
ce soir, sont engagés
pour s’aimer toujours

at café terrasse
the night stars
that night, they made their promise
forever to love.

mystic fields (haiku)

Our host has introduced Karunesh – Magic Fields as our inspiration to write a haiku.  Here is our host’s offering:

magic is in the air
the sweet perfume of autumn
brings ecstasy

whispering grace,
