Thinking of my friend this week…
her sobs echo
across the Atlantic
a long journey
Caspian Sea and
Arabian Gulf imbibe
salty tears
the skies rumble
iridescent light,
safe passage
pain free at last
an angel stands by, waiting
in white light
heavens whisper
the last chapter,
Rumi stirs

Don’t run away from grief , o soul
Look for the remedy inside the pain.
because the rose came from the thorn
and the ruby came from a stone.

Some say that last chapter, that last page
is just a turning, a turning of a new leaf
a new beginning…
For you my heart.
It seems as we get older everyday reminds us of another loss…
and yet we are still here to enjoy roses and rubies.

Yes, we do see roses and rubies and seem to appreciate the more each day. Thanks so much, Jules, your comments always make my day…always insightful.
